  • Yuhigaura Onsen

    Yuhigaura Onsen was drilled in 1980 in collaboration with Hamazume district where there were no hot springs. It was given its name for the spectacular sunset view from the dunes where they drilled for the hot spring source.
    For nearly 24 years, the original hot spring source provided relaxation and therapy to many guests who stayed in boarding houses in Hamazume district, but due to its aging, the second hot spring source was drilled in 2006, and it provides hot spring water of better quality.
    The spring water is hypotonic alkalescent high-temperature hot springs which is called “Bijin no Yu” and has beneficial effects on the skin and is good for fatigue, neuralgia and rheumatism.
    It can be enjoyed at 27 inns and guesthouses in Yuhigaura district today.

  • Kitsu Onsen

    The oldest and famous hot spring resort in Kyoto Prefecture with a history of 1,200 years is believed to have been discovered by Gyoki (a Buddhist priest) in the Nara period. The spring water is mild, and the idyllic environment with trains driving through the farm fields is also attractive.

    The hot spring resort is near the Kobama bathing beach of Hacchohama. The spring water contains sodium, calcium and monochloride and is an active therapeutic spring water.

The hot spring establishment was created in 2006. It houses spacious garden baths that contain quality, natural “Bijin no Yu” natural hot spring water.
It has open-air baths (rock baths, reclining baths) for men and women with views of a waterfall, saunas and jet baths.
It also has restaurants, a souvenir shop, Ground Golf, etc.
